Ana Carla Fonseca Reis  Economist and Public Manager, Master cum laude in Management and undertaking her PhD in Architecture and Urbanism, Carla has a solid background in multinational companies, having led global marketing and knowledge management projects based in Latin America, Milan and London. She is the author of three books on cultural sponsorship, management and the economics of culture and writes regularly for newspaper and magazines. Her latest book, Economics of Culture and Sustainable Development, a pioneering work, received the Jabuti Award – the most important book award in Brazil - in 2007. In December 2008 her trilingual ebook “Creative Economy as a Development Strategy – a view of developing countries”, was pubished aiming to strengthen the links between culture, creativity and socioeconomic development. She is the founding partner of “Garimpo de Soluções – economics, culture and development” special advisor on the creative economy for the United Nations and a series of public and private companies, focusing on business opportunities uniting culture, economics and development. International speaker, volunteering Director of Economics of Culture at Instituto Pensarte NGO, professor at a number of universities, she is an advisor of a series of Brazilian and international conferences and a member of the Association for Cultural Economics International (ACEI).
